Typically, propylene networks were used for this. However, they have a number of deficiencies: they may cause discomfort, and over time collapse, deform and “wrinkle”. Scientists suggested to replace the network with titanium silk for the first time.
This is domestic development that are not in the world. Implants touch the best metal yarns. Despite its high strength, the grid can be cut with ordinary scissors, so its use does not require special tools. Unlike propylene, there is no deformation in tissues over time and does not destroy. In addition, due to the intense of the material, cellular immunity responds less actively when using polymers to transport.
The department has developed various correction methods and patented vehicles for application for different prolapse types. Titanium networks can be used both in vaginal operations and laparoscopic, that is, through a puncture on the abdominal wall and accelerate healing after intervention.
