Dance is a complex social coordination process that requires synchronizing movements with another person, but also the synchronization of movements with another person and the simultaneous processing of visual and sound signals. The researchers invited a pair of non -professional dancers and analyzed brain activities, body movement and muscle functions. The participants danced either to the same music or in different pieces and under conditions in which they could see or see each other.
The results showed that the brain creates individual neurosignns for different components of dance: the perception of music, its own movements, the movements caused by following a partner, and most importantly for social coordination.
