Ammunition to protect equipment from high-precision weapons will be supplied to the Russian Armed Forces in 2022

In 2022, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will be provided with aerosol-forming ammunition to protect military and special equipment from high-precision weapons. This has been reported TASS With reference to the press service of the Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering (TsNIItochmash is part of the Kalashnikov concern of the Rostec company).

“TsNIItochmash provides personal protection systems against high-precision weapons of its own design for equipping serial samples of mobile reconnaissance masts and self-propelled artillery,” the press service of the institute said.

The agency states that the aerosol-generating munitions are designed to protect the Uragan-1M multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), PRP-4A and PRP-5A mobile reconnaissance points, the TOS-2 flamethrower system and other military equipment.

These shells hide the vehicles behind a combined curtain of response, causing the enemy precision-guided missile to overturn and lose contact with the target.
