Using the Alma Radio Telescope in Chile, the International team of astronomers recorded unusual vortex structures in the center of our galaxy. This “cosmic hurricanes”, which has 26 thousand light years from the world, is from a circle of gas and dust around the super solid black hole of Sagittarius. New data are 100 times more detailed than previous observations. The study was published scientifically magazine Astronomy and astrophysics (A & A).
Experts began by directing Alma to the galaxy, known as the central molecular zone. It surrounds the core of the ultra -kütle black hole of our galaxy and is full of dust and gas clouds. The team wanted to reveal the mechanism that controls the tireless movement of these clouds.
Scientists found long thin gas fibers in light years and acted against the main flow of the main matter. The speed of these yarns reaches hundreds of kilometers per second and their nature has not yet been announced.
Observations also showed that bending contains silicone oxide and complex organic molecules – methanol and methyanicanide.
Kai Yang, the leading writer of a study from Shanghai University, said, “These structures are unlike anything known. They are literally attracting the material in the opposite direction.”
According to scientists, these vortices may function as “space conveyors çali carrying chemical elements in the galaxy.
