For the first time, American astronomers from Boston University made weather forecast for the outer planetary object SIMP 0136+0933. Using the James Webb space telescope, the analysis showed that the celestial body has an iron and mineral clouds as well as a polar glittering complex layer atmosphere. The study was published scientifically broadcasting Astrophysical Magazine Letters (TAJL).
SIMP 0136+0933 is about 20 light years from the ground in Karin’s Nebula. This object is neither a planet nor a star.

Scientists used the JWST spectrographs to observe the object at close and middle infrared intervals. Within six hours, they collected approximately 6,000 data sets that allowed to create brightness curves showing how the brightness of the object changed at different wavelengths.
The examination of the data has shown that the atmosphere of SIMP 0136+0933 consists of several layers similar to a cake. The lower layer of the clouds is made of iron, the middle of the forestry is made of magnesium mineral and the upper part, probably from high -zone hot spots associated with radiopopolar glow. Secondly, it is similar to the worldly polar glow, but it occurs in Radydidiapas.
In addition, the researchers proposed the presence of carbon -based chemical compounds such as carbon monoxide that absorbed radiation at certain wavelengths.
The SIMP 0136+0933 work opens new horizons to examine the atmosphere of outer planets and other mysterious objects. This is an important step to understand the effects of various atmosphere and distant worlds in the universe on potential livability.
