The company reported that Tinkoff has introduced Neuroshield technology, which is based on artificial intelligence, which allows to identify phone scammers during their conversation directly with Tinkoff Mobile subscribers. To create this, speech scenarios and distinctive speech turns of real attackers were analyzed.
During a phone call, Neuroshield converts the audio recording into a set of technical data and compares it with the backlog of calls from scammers and interrupts the conversation if the allowed match threshold is exceeded. After that, the secretary Oleg contacts the subscriber, explaining the reason for the disconnection.
The company reports that the launch of Neuroshield completes the creation of a new, large-scale Tinkoff platform for protection against scammers and spammers, combining social engineering and banking algorithms for protection against mobile operator technologies.

By the end of 2022, it is planned to strengthen Neuroschit by analyzing the text of the speech in real time – the option will be available with the consent of the subscriber. Tinkoff Mobile customers will also be able to independently choose scenarios for actions when a potentially dangerous call is received: end the conversation, receive a notification during the call with Oleg’s voice or via SMS, and also never miss any potentially dangerous calls.
Neuroshield is part of Tinkoff’s new integrated platform to protect Tinkoff Bank customers with a Tinkoff Mobile SIM card from scammers and spammers.
This is the first such integration of security tools of a bank and a mobile operator in Russia. Thanks to the speed of data exchange between the bank and the operator and the seamless integration process, advanced protection is provided by the synergy of all tools around the ecosystem. For example, marking a transfer made by a customer to a phone number outside of a Mobile subscriber’s calling profile as risky. Verification of 98.5% of transactions takes place without additional involvement of the customer.
