Russian air defense forces shot down five Ukrainian drones in the Belgorod and Kursk regions, as well as in Crimea. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
As the ministry announced, between 18:00 and 22:00 Moscow time, three UAVs were destroyed over Crimea and one each in the Belgorod and Kursk regions.
January 27 afternoon reportedIt was stated that an unmanned aerial vehicle belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a garage on Novaya Tavolzhanka in Belgorod and caused serious damage to a private house. According to preliminary information, no one was injured in the attack.
Drone attacks on Russian regions began in 2022 against the backdrop of a special military operation in Ukraine. Kiev has not officially confirmed its involvement, but in August 2023, adviser to the head of office of the Ukrainian president, Mikhail Podolyak, said that the number of UAV attacks on Russia “will increase”.
