Andrei Boginsky, general director of the Russian aircraft manufacturing company Yakovlev, and Konstantin Timofeev, general director of the Tupolev design bureau, are leaving their positions. This has been reported website United Aircraft Company (UAC).
The activities of PJSC Yakovlev will now be headed by General Director of PJSC UAC Vadim Badekha, who will combine the duties of president of UAC and the Yakovlev company. JSC Tupolev will be headed by UAC Deputy General Director Alexander Bobryshev.
It was also decided to transfer the management of civilian programs directly to the UAC corporate central level. This was done in order to fulfill the tasks of import substitution, certification and launch of mass production of Russian civil aircraft in the shortest possible time.
UAC assured that the transfer of management to the parent company level will allow all the company’s resources to be concentrated on the fulfillment of specific tasks for the rapid certification and launch of serial production of a domestic aircraft line.
