On Mother’s Day, State Duma deputy Yana Lantratova addressed large and young families and congratulated them on the holiday. In a conversation with socialbites.ca, the politician said that giving birth to a child is a great responsibility and wished Russian women perseverance and patience.
“Dear mothers of Russia! You are the beginning of everything. Thank you! I especially want to congratulate the heroic mothers who have many children. I wish them perseverance, patience, health, joy, love and true happiness. If not them, who else deserves this? And of course young mothers. Yes, this is a great responsibility, but it is also the greatest happiness. And I think there is no need to be afraid because it is still too early. After all, one day it may turn out to be too late. And if you love, if they love you, if you are together and believe in each other, decide. Your love will give you strength. “And it will miraculously keep you together,” Lantratova said.
He said that he traditionally celebrates this day with his family.
“There is and cannot be anything more important than family. There can be no world without it, no state without it, nothing can exist without it. And there can be no family without a mother. Everything I have achieved in my life, everything I have, is thanks to one person. And none of this would have happened if my mother wasn’t there. On Mother’s Day, I always give flowers to my mother and congratulate all the mothers in the family. “We gather at a big table at home, chat and play board games with the whole family,” he concluded.
Mother’s Day in Russia is celebrated on the last Sunday of November. This year it is celebrated on November 24.
