The Moscow City Court considered the complaint filed by comedian Ruslan Bely (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) against the refusal to revoke his foreign agent status and recognized the legality of the decision. This was reported by RIA Novosti one of the participants in the process.
Bely entered the register of foreign agents on September 1, 2023 and currently lives in Spain. The comedian appealed the decision to the Zamoskvoretsky court, but the claim was rejected, and therefore he filed a complaint with the Moscow City Court.
Last week Moscow City Court carried out The decision regarding the “foreign agent” sentence that Bely objected to. The court decided not to change the decision and not to satisfy Bely’s complaint.
Before that, the Tagansky District Court found the comedian guilty of violating an administrative article due to the absence of a foreign agent sign in a post dated September 12, 2023 on the Zen platform.
