A mosso and national police save a man from heart attack while renewing his DNI

Two agents, one Mossos d’Esquadra and another National Police, helped last July 14 75 year old man While renewing his DNI, he suffered a heart attack at the Plaza España police station (Barcelona), shared by two bodies.

Agents were able to confirm this.The man’s pulse was very weak and he was breathing very shallowly.they put him in the security position and asked him to bring the automatic external defibrillator (AED) located at the reception of the police station.

According to the district police, The man stopped breathing for a moment and the two officers coordinated to keep his airway open. and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation while bringing them the AED.

They then applied electric shocks until the man’s pulse returned to normal, and two more agents from Mossos d’Esquadra participated in resuscitation maneuvers until toilets arrived from the Emergency Medical System (SEM).

The victim of the heart attack was promptly successfully operated on in a hospital, and two days later the medical center reported to the district police that he would apparently not experience any sequelae of cardiorespiratory arrest.
