Russian Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR) leader Leonid Slutsky presented Russian President Vladimir Putin with the ribbons of the Bars-Bryansk brigade, which he asked the soldiers from the special military operations zone to hand over. This was reported by TASS.
Putin and Slutsky will hold a meeting on November 14.
Accepting the gift, the head of state thanked the leader of the LDPR and asked him to convey his best wishes to all fighters of the Bars units.
Slutsky said that his fellow party member, Sergei Antoshin, head of the Bryansk regional branch of the party, headed the Bars-Bryansk brigade. The politician explained that there are also Bars-Kursk and Bars-Belgorod in the Northern Military District area, which also carry out combat missions.
About the creation of volunteer detachments “Bars” in the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions on the border with Ukraine it became clear September 12. Deputy Minister of Defense Colonel General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov spoke on the issue.
In the Bryansk region in October introduced Payment of hundreds of thousands of rubles for joining the Bars-Bryansk volunteer detachment. Those who sign a six-month contract will receive a one-time payment of 150 thousand rubles and 300 thousand for a year.
