The Draconid meteor shower will peak on Wednesday night, October 9th. This was reported by TASS With reference to the press service of the Moscow Planetarium.
The message explained that currently the number of “shooting stars” could reach 15 per hour.
“But the Draconids experience up to 100-400 meteor explosions per hour,” the planetarium explained.
Star meteors falling in autumn are characterized by yellow and reddish hues. Their entry speed into the atmosphere will be approximately 20 km/h. The planetarium recommended observing meteors in the early morning hours in the northwest of the capital, away from city lights.
