The head of Roscosmos Borisov told Putin about the difficult situation in the Russian space industry

Yuri Borisov, head of the Roscosmos state agency, told Russian President Vladimir Putin in his first report that the Russian space industry is in a difficult situation. In this official statement area Kremlin.

“The industry is in a difficult situation, and together with my colleagues I see that my main task is not to fall, but to raise the bar and, above all, to provide the necessary space services to the Russian economy.” said Borisov.

Formerly Borisov reported Putin announced that Russia has decided to withdraw from the International Space Station project after 2024. According to him, by that time the state company will begin to create the Russian orbital station.

Borisov became head of Roskosmos on 15 July, replacing Dmitry Rogozin in this post. Borisov has been in charge of the space industry and military-industrial complex in the government since 2018, and Rogozin held this post before him.
