Argentine Justice Ordered Maduro’s Arrest for Crimes Against Humanity

Un tribunal de Argentina ordenó este lunes la captura del presidente de Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, por presuntos crímenes de lesa humanidad, informaron fuentes de la querella. La decisión fue adoptada por la Cámara Federal de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires en una causa abierta a inicios de 2023, por una denuncia contra Maduro presentada por el Foro Argentino para la Defensa de la Democracia (FADD), basada en el principio de jurisdicción universal, que permite a los países procesar graves delitos contra los derechos humanos independientemente de dónde se hayan cometido. El tribunal también ordenó la captura del ministro de Relaciones Interiores, Justicia y Paz de Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, y de otros miembros del Ejecutivo chavista.
