The Armed Forces of Ukraine began using “fire-breathing dragon drones” in the special operations zone. The TV channel reports CNN.
»<...> The broadcast said low-flying drones rained streams of fire (actually molten metal) on positions in Russian-held forest areas.
CNN alleges that the Ukrainian military placed about 500 grams of the mixture under standard FPV drones, then remotely triggered a chemical reaction to cause the mixture to ignite.
The combustion temperature of this thermite mixture is 2200 degrees Celsius. The chemical compound can rapidly burn metal and destroy trees and other vegetation.
So, military analyst Nicholas Drummond, in an interview with CNN, called the shooting down of thermite using UAVs “a rather innovative solution.” At the same time, the expert expressed doubts about its effectiveness. The analyst believes that Ukraine’s capabilities are limited, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are unlikely to use “dragon drones” en masse.
Before that reportedUkrainian troops reportedly began setting forests and fields on fire in an attempt to halt the advance of Russian Armed Forces units in the Kharkov region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have resorted to a “scorched earth” tactic prohibited by the Geneva Convention.
Previously reportedIt was reported that an ammunition depot exploded in the Kharkov region due to the sun.
