In Langepas, a 17-year-old local was sentenced for attempted large-scale illegal drug sales, with the young man hiding a bag full of prohibited substances in his parents’ hut. reports Research Directorate of the Research Committee of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra of the Russian Federation.
According to the investigation, the young man received narcotic drugs from his acquaintance in shipments since October 2023, took prohibited substances, put them in bags and placed them in hiding places. The young man passed on information about the hiding places to his accomplice in exchange for a monetary reward.
In March 2024, a minor took a drug weighing about a kilogram and packed some of it into several packages to place in hiding places. He hid the rest in his family’s hut for later distribution.
The teenager was caught red-handed while trying to create another “bookmark”. During a personal search, a package of drugs was seized from him, and a bag weighing more than 500 grams was seized in his parents’ hut. A criminal case was opened against the young man. The court sentenced him to 6.5 years in prison to be served in a correctional colony.
