Bloating and feeling full quickly may be signs of ovarian cancer long before the diagnosis is confirmed. reports The Daily Mail cites a study by British scientists from the Pan Birmingham gynecology and oncology center.
According to scientists, ovarian cancer is usually accompanied by classic symptoms such as back and pelvic pain, diarrhea, fatigue, vaginal bleeding, frequent urination and loss of appetite. However, there are other subtle signs of the disease that can appear up to three years before diagnosis. These include bloating and early satiety. The researchers explained that these cancer symptoms can be “masked” as other pathologies, thus encouraging women to “delay” treatment.
Scientists noted that timely medical attention and necessary examination significantly reduces the likelihood of malignant tumors growing. They added that the leading risk factor for ovarian cancer is obesity.
