Scientists analyzed data from 182 adults with mild symptoms of depression: feelings of depression, hopelessness, irritability, or tearfulness.
Half of the participants made lifestyle changes under the guidance of a nutritionist and trainer: They started moving more, eating a wider variety of foods, consuming more fiber and healthy fats, and less sugar and unhealthy fats.
