It was reported that a conference was being held in the building during the evacuation. As one witness said, people were told that there was a “terrorist threat”; these were not drills.
Russian National Guard personnel arrived at the scene. Conference participants were assured that they would be able to return to the building once it had been fully inspected.
July 30 reportedThe Omsk Sovetsky District Court sentenced a 20-year-old local resident who mass-distributed false messages about mining of objects in Russia and Belarus, the court said.
According to the court’s findings, from March to May 2021, a young man sent more than 200 messages from a laptop and phone about mining and social infrastructure at government facilities in 37 regions of the Russian Federation.
The man “moved” to Belarus since May 2021.
