More than half of the Russians surveyed (51%) have faced the need to change their place of residence at least once in their life, and 15% even moved to a new place about 4-5 times. Such data are obtained from a survey conducted by the developers PIK and IC Rosgosstrakh, the results of which were studied by socialbites.ca.
Almost every second person associates moving with a sense of happiness (44%). Of these, 26% of respondents consider it a difficult but very enjoyable event, and 18% see changing their place of residence as a new and interesting stage.
Often, a move is accompanied by another pleasant event – a housewarming celebration. This event is mandatory for the vast majority of Russians; 76% of respondents organize a banquet to celebrate their move. Often the cost of the holiday is up to 20 thousand rubles.
However, moving remains a significant step that requires emotional resources. It is noteworthy that new residents (45%) experience negative emotions when moving less often than second home owners (55%).
The majority of Russians (61%) want to move into a new apartment as soon as possible; almost half of the respondents (46%) are ready to move into their home as soon as construction work is completed. Furniture can be purchased already during the arrangement process, and another 15% plan to move in immediately after the housing is completed.
Interestingly, for 58% of Russians, an important part of moving is also getting to know their neighbors – for them, the need to immediately communicate and make friends with residents of nearby apartments is no less important than arranging their space.
Previously in Russia increased demand for “smart devices” for the home.
