The incident occurred at around 14:40 Moscow time at the railway crossing of Divenskaya station. Four people, including two children, died in the accident. Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate and inspectors from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia arrived at the scene to establish the circumstances of the accident. Due to the stoppage of Lastochka, the movement of trains in this direction was temporarily suspended.
