Vadim Prokhorov, the lawyer of Ilya Yashin, the deputy mayor of Moscow’s Krasnoselsky district, said that a criminal case was opened against his client after he made a video recording on his own account about the events in Bucha. YouTube channel, reports TASS.
“The reason for the criminal case was that on April 7, Yashin spoke live on his YouTube channel about the killing of civilians in Bucha,” the human rights activist said.
Another lawyer of the deputy, Mikhail Biryukov, said that Yashin’s apartment was searched as part of the criminal case.
“Now it’s done, Yashin and I are going to England, accompanied by law enforcement,” the lawyer said.
