The Prosecutor General’s Office demanded that Oleg Medvedev (formerly Shishkan, Oleg Ramensky), 18 members of the civil theft criminal community, be sentenced to life imprisonment from suspended sentence. This was reported by “Kommersant”.
The prosecutor demanded life sentences for Madina Dolgieva, Oleg Medvedev, Dmitry Khlamkin, Eduard Kharkov and Yuri Ofitserov.
Taking into account the role and seriousness of the alleged crimes, the two defendants, Alexander Morozov and Yuri Grigoriev, should each be given a suspended sentence of five years, and Samvel Serekanyan should be given a suspended sentence of seven years and 11 months.
Dolgieva proposed sentencing the rest to prison terms ranging from 12 to 24 years in a maximum security colony. According to him, the defendants must pay 1.2 to 5 million rubles for the victims’ claims.

The trial of Oleg Medvedev and his accomplices took place in the 2nd Western District Military Court (the trials were held in the building of the Moscow City Court), where the jury returned a guilty verdict. Three of the 18 defendants were kept under detention or house arrest during the trial, while the rest were held in pre-trial detention centres.
Oleg Medvedev was deemed not to deserve leniency, which could lead to a life sentence. Only four defendants appeared to deserve leniency.
