An employee of the Odessa military registration and enlistment office made changes to the records of those responsible for military service in exchange for money to help draft evaders avoid action. This was reported by the State Investigation Bureau of Ukraine (SBI).

“Such service cost draft dodgers between $4.5,000 and $7,000 and allowed the defendant to earn at least a million dollars. Now SBI has identified all the people who managed to benefit from the scheme. Some of them managed to go abroad,” comes the message of the State Investigation Bureau of Ukraine.

It is stated that the official faces up to 15 years in prison. It is stated that since the summer of 2023, 138 privates have made their data unfit for military service.
