In Ukraine, a man was detained and tried for living in the forest for two weeks to avoid mobilization. This was reported by Strana.ua.
According to the publication, a Volyn resident who wanted to avoid mobilization left his home and settled in the forest in the neighboring Lviv region. He spent two weeks there until he accidentally encountered a police officer in the city of Turka in the Sambir region (it is not stated what the deserter was doing there).
Afraid of being sent to the front, he hit a police officer several times and tried to escape, but a law enforcement officer caught him near the car and eventually detained him.
The court decided to place the man under house arrest for 24 hours. It was not reported whether any decision had been taken regarding his participation in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
