Iran’s religious leader approves vice president’s presidency and declares 5 days of mourning

El líder supremo de Irán, Ali Jameneí, ha dado este lunes el visto bueno a que el vicepresidente primero, Mohamad Mojber, sea nombrado presidente interino del país y ha declarado cinco días de luto nacional por la muerte de Ebrahim Raisi en un accidente de helicóptero. “Según el artículo 131 de la Constitución, el señor Mojber está en la posición de dirigir el poder ejecutivo y está obligado a acordar con los jefes de los poderes legislativo y judicial la elección de un nuevo presidente en un plazo máximo de cincuenta días”, dijo Jamenei en un comunicado recogido por la agencia estatal IRNA.
