Psychologists from the Swinburne University of Technology in Australia found that women are most attracted to a partner who is in an equal relationship with him. They talked about it in a magazine article. Journal of Sex Studies.
Researchers interviewed 299 women aged 18-39 to find out how they rate their current relationships. Participants asked, “Who knew the feelings of the other better?”, “Who spent their free time as they wanted?” answered questions such as and “Who changed their habits and behaviors to help or please their spouse?” Participants rated their responses on a five-point scale from “mostly my partner” to “mostly me”.
Apparently, those with the most equal relationships were more likely to agree with statements like “Relationships with my partner bring me a lot of happiness” compared to those in an unequal relationship. Women with greater relationship satisfaction reported higher levels of sexual attraction to their partners.
“The results highlight that a woman’s low sex drive is likely a problem that both partners in the relationship can resolve together. It is not a person’s ‘fault’ and it would be helpful to consider factors beyond the sexual sphere that may be contributing to the problem,” she said.
