In a telephone conversation with his Israeli counterpart Yoav Galant, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said that Israel can count on the full support of the US in defending against attacks from Iran. This is stated in in written statement Pentagon press secretary Patrick Ryder.
“Secretary Austin made clear that Israel can count on the full support of the United States to defend against any attack from Iran and its proxies in the region,” the statement said.
Previously former Pentagon advisor Jasmine El-Gamal in the name Iran’s seizure of an Israeli-linked ship is only the first in a series of “retaliatory actions.”
