They ignore us and for various reasons. Between them, because somehow we have succumbed to the power of Valencia as the capital of the Valencian Community. However, logically, a state that represents the fifth position in the national GDP level should have much more relevance. What we try from the forum is when we go to Madrid or bring in national or world-related characters, they know we are the fifth province in terms of GDP.

Beyond the issue of not being the capital of an autonomous community, what do you think is the problem?

We don’t have a provincial business association that knows Alicante’s businessmen are among the strongest, here’s another problem. And as I said, power is centralized economically and politically in the city of Valencia. And we don’t have our own lobby in Madrid that does justice to what we mean as a state.
