The People’s Militia of the Lugansk People’s Republic and the allied forces of the Russian armed forces took control of several settlements west of Lisichansk, which made it possible to launch an offensive against the next large settlement – Seversk, reports TASS Citing a source close to the LPR People’s Militia.
The message states that “Allied forces liberated the settlements of Disputed, Zolotarevka and Belaya Gora and are developing an offensive against Seversk.”
The village of Zolotarevka is located on the only road from Lysichansk to Seversk, the rest of the settlements also allow you to control the movement of the defeated Ukrainian units trying to evacuate from the besieged Lysichansk. In addition, a direct road opens from Zolotarevka to Seversk, there are no natural barriers between settlements, such as rivers or forests.
