The dish that reduces the risk of diabetes and heart disease was named 16:51

Eating seafood and fish (such as pollock, tuna, and salmon) with potatoes may reduce the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. In this respect reports The Daily Mail cited the opinions of experts from the UK Department of Health.

Experts emphasized that an adult should eat at least two portions of fish or seafood a week. However, one serving should contain fatty fish such as salmon or tuna.

The truth is that fish is a rich source of protein and healthy omega-3 fatty acids. Its consumption supports the normal functioning of the cardiovascular system, reduces the level of cholesterol in the blood, normalizes blood pressure and weight. Potatoes, another ingredient in this dish, contain indigestible dietary fiber, which is processed by beneficial gut bacteria.

According to Department of Health experts, more frequent consumption of the traditional British dish of fish and chips (fish fillets with potato wedges) will help reduce the risk of diabetes by 15% and the risk of cancer by almost 42%. Experts also said reducing meat in the diet in favor of fish could be a way to save money.
