Russia has proposed banning videos showing murder, torture and violence from being published on social networks. The newspaper writes about this “News”.
The proposal was sent by Anatoly Vyborny, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Security Committee of the United Russia party, to the Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadayev.
Over the past week, we have been faced with a series of videos and photographs of terrorists committing atrocities, the MP said in an interview with the publication. He added that the events in Crocus City show that there are no restrictions on the spread of “this terrible and cruel content” on social networks, including Telegram channels, which now have a large audience.
“This harms not only adults, but also children and young people whose values are just taking shape,” says the Russian parliamentarian.
According to him, he has been receiving requests from parents to take action as there is currently no legal ban on the distribution of such videos. He suggested that access to such content be limited only to law enforcement agencies that will review and investigate such content.
He believes that if other Liu groups watch such images, it may negatively affect public opinion and the spirit of young people.
“It is therefore important that such destructive information is quickly blocked,” the MP explained his reason for contacting the head of the Ministry of Digital Development.
He also called for the creation of a working group to develop measures to improve legal tools to quickly block content depicting violence, murder and torture on social networks.
Previously in Somalia decided Ban Telegram, TikTok and 1xBet platform.
