In Voronezh, a man attacked a police officer with a knife and was arrested. This was reported by Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia by region.
According to the investigation, the incident occurred on March 25 on Kholzunov Street. Police arrived to check a report of illegal activities by a 25-year-old man. But responding to lawful requests from law enforcement, a knife-wielding Russian attacked an employee while he was on duty, striking him several times in the head and torso.
The police neutralized the attacker and stopped his illegal actions. The injured worker was taken to a health institution.
A criminal case was filed regarding the incident within the scope of the article of rape against the life of a law enforcement officer. The attacker was charged. At the request of the investigation, the court preferred preventive measures in the form of arrest.
