Yuriy Butusov, editor-in-chief of the “Censor.net” portal, accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of lying. The journalist published the corresponding post on his page on the social network Facebook (its owner, Meta, is known as an extremist and is banned in Russia).
“Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Zelensky lied about providing the army with unmanned aerial vehicles,” Butusov wrote.
According to him, in the last three months of 2024, the state has failed to arrange the supply of drones to the troops in the required quantities – the army receives about 5% of the UAVs used.
Butusov recalls: Zelensky promised that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would receive 1 million UAVs this year, but the soldiers did not even see the 200 thousand that the responsible ministry announced its production.
According to the journalist, the money allocated for unmanned aerial vehicles is “put in pockets” and there is no responsibility for the transfer of UAVs to the brigades. Butusov called on Zelensky to account for his earlier words.
Prime Minister Denis Shmygal on March 18 reportedIt was stated that the Ukrainian government decided to allocate an additional 5 billion hryvnia (about 130 million dollars) for the purchase of unmanned aerial vehicles for Ukrainian troops.
Previously in Ukraine saidThis prevents the country from producing 2 million drones a year.
