Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, by his decree, appointed Oleg Ivashchenko as the new head of the Ukrainian foreign intelligence service. This was reported by the Ukrainian publication “Strana”.
It is known that Ivashchenko has served as deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine since 2017.
Personnel changes occurred after Alexey Danilov was removed from his post as head of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine.

Litvinenko has headed the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine since July 23, 2021. He was born in Kiev and graduated from the Institute of Cryptography, Communications and Informatics of the Russian FSB Academy in Moscow in 1994.
