According to experts, almonds also have an additional benefit. This nut contains proteins that help keep blood sugar levels stable during sleep and help shift the body from the active adrenaline cycle to rest and digestion mode. Therefore, somnologists concluded that people without contraindications can eat a handful of hazelnuts as an afternoon snack or mix almond crumbs with milk and honey as a snack just before going to bed.
