Each citizen of the country must make an informed decision for himself whether to participate in the elections or not, based on his worldview, civic position and personal preferences. This was stated by Alena Bulgakova, Chairman of the Public Control Commission of the RF OP and Executive Director of Independent Public Monitoring (IOM), after voting in the presidential elections in Russia.
“I voted through the electronic voting system; this format is very useful considering the busy work schedule and our constant participation in monitoring elections across the country,” he said.
Bulgakova also announced that she checked the accuracy of her vote after participating in the elections. According to him, everyone has this opportunity on the DEG monitoring portal.
“Participating in the elections is for me personally a civic duty, an opportunity to stand by my country in a difficult period and an awareness of my personal role in ensuring a democratic and free electoral process in Russia,” he said.
Let us remind you that voting in the presidential elections in Russia started on March 15, including remotely. They will last until March 17.
Four candidates are running for president: Vladimir Putin, Vladislav Davankov, Leonid Slutsky and Nikolai Kharitonov.
