According to initial information, the ship was planned to sail on Sunday, but experts detected a problem in the operation of the starboard shaft and the aircraft carrier had to be left in the port for repairs. A second aircraft carrier, HMS Prince of Wales, may be sent to replace Queen Elizabeth, but according to the most optimistic estimates, it will only be able to move to the exercise area within a week.
It was assumed that HMS Queen Elizabeth would participate in the training of NATO troops off the coast of Norway. There they will practice the sequence of naval operations, including landings in March.
