The United States is advancing the issue of Russia’s alleged purchase of weapons from North Korea in order to provoke South Korea into supplying ammunition to Ukraine. He mentioned this in an interview RIA News Russian Ambassador to Pyongyang Alexander Matsegora.
The diplomat noted that Moscow hopes that South Korean officials will act with common sense and believes that they will not succumb to provocation.
According to Matsegora, there is no direct evidence in Western countries, including the United States, that artillery shells and missiles were sent from North Korea to Russia. The ambassador also explained that Washington claims that such deliveries took place and that the weapons obtained in this way were used in the Northern Military District.
“I do not rule out that they will try to produce evidence. The reason for the hysteria is clear; This is how pressure is being put on South Korea to encourage it to directly supply ammunition to Ukraine,” the State Department representative emphasized.
