The term déjà vú, meaning “already seen”, describes the feeling a person experiences when they think they have experienced an event that is actually new. And the new and familiar can sometimes have a communal, firm and calm nature, but at the same time it can be unique, revealing and surprising. Querencia album still lives in the memory of critics and fans as a cult piece of flamenco discography that will go down in history with its elegance and roundness. Alongside Muy Frágil, it is her first feature film featuring pieces of unknown authorship such as “SOS”, which is still performed and performed all over the world today.
In addition to her unpublished repertoire, Mayte Martín recreates and reinvents her own creation in this show, dressing it with current emotions, maturity, that seat and the color that time has given things.
