The incident occurred on January 15 on bus number 41 on Bauman Street, heading to the Uralmash metro station. According to the woman, there were many passengers in the cabin that morning, including a drunk man. He behaved strangely and at one point started harassing the victim. She asked him not to touch her and turned away, after which the bully started insulting the girl and recording a video. He pushed the man’s hand with the phone away and the attacker punched him in the face. The victim, who had three broken teeth, had to see a doctor who stitched up his lip.
“The craziest part of this situation was that the bus was full of people, including men, and the conductor was there too. No one stood up for the young woman, offering her help, but they also ignored her when she tried to delay the bus until the police arrived, and the conductor and driver let go of the man and then the bus. A victim covered in blood allegedly disturbed the peace inside the bus,” said a friend of the victim.
The victim is now looking for witnesses to the incident and hopes to bring his attacker to justice.
