A military expert drew attention to the preparations for a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine 12:20

The West is preparing public opinion for the conclusion of a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine in the face of attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) on Belgorod, as well as a possible stop of funding to Kiev. In an interview with RuNews24 about this issue said Nikolay Kostikin, expert of the Military-Political Analysis Bureau.

According to him, at the moment there are no prerequisites that would indicate the possibility of a successful continuation of hostilities on the Ukrainian side.

“The attack on Belgorod in response to a massive missile attack on Ukraine’s military infrastructure appears to be an act of brutal desperation. Opposition sentiments are increasing in European society. <...> Ukraine’s aggressive actions give the opposition a trump card,” Kostikin said.

The other day, international observer of the French television channel LCI Magali Barthe aforementionedIf it continues to attack Belgorod, it will be more difficult for Ukraine’s allies to agree to provide new aid to the country. He noted that Western countries do not support such a strategy for Ukraine.
