According to him, in addition to mobilization, the Ukrainian command is also recruiting foreigners due to a serious shortage of troops. Recently, the number of mercenaries in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has decreased significantly, but “new arrivals still remain.”
According to Marochko, within a few weeks, foreign groups of about 30-50 people arrived in the Ukrainian-controlled settlements of Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk and Konstantinovka.
Foreign mercenaries have been participating in battles on behalf of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the very beginning of the military operation, but “geography is constantly changing”, says a retired lieutenant colonel of the LPR people’s militia.
