Ukraine’s allies do not have the necessary equipment and weapons to launch a new counter-offensive. The newspaper reports this New York Times (NYT), citing analysts and former US officials.
This rules out the possibility of a new counteroffensive launching for most of 2024, according to the release notes.
“Ukraine, dependent on the West for weapons and financing, faces short-term pressure,” the article states.
The publication said Ukraine is “struggling to maintain a sufficient flow of munitions and weapons from Western states operating in wartime conditions and faces “significant production challenges.”
Previously Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin warned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky that there is no “magic wand” in the United States that will help the Ukrainian army in the conflict with Russia.
