To find out which of the two drugs is most effective, scientists from Saudi Arabia conducted a study based on the results of 14 previous scientific papers (meta-analysis). Collectively, 521 adult volunteers participated in these studies.
The analysis showed no significant difference in the effectiveness of Paracetamol and Ibuprofen in relieving tension headaches (moderate to severe sensation intensity). Additionally, only minor side effects were observed with both types of drugs. It is stated that the use of Ibuprofen more often causes nausea and the use of Paracetamol causes stomach discomfort.
