At least 10 people died and 15 people were injured in a traffic accident It happened this Wednesday on a highway in the municipality of Bajos de Haina, about twenty kilometers from Santo Domingo, Juan Salas, director of the Dominican Civil Defense, informed EFE. Sources from the 911 emergency service told EFE that these are preliminary figures as an unspecified number of passengers may have been trapped on the bus. According to the information given by those at the scene, at least 30 passengers were traveling in the damaged bus.
Work continues in the region alongside Civil Defense teams, fire brigades, the Police Department and the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Safety.
