Kremlin hopes Armenia will continue to work in the CSTO format 19:01

Russia expects Armenia to continue its participation in the work of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). This was announced by presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov. TASS.

“We took into account the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs” [Армении], [об] There are no plans to refuse to participate in the further work of this organization,” Peskov said.

He drew attention to the importance of this decision and expressed his hope for the continuation of cooperation with Yerevan within the CSTO. The press spokesman emphasized that the Kremlin expects the Armenian side to participate more actively in the next meeting of the organization.

Presidents of Russia Vladimir Putin, Kazakhstan – Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyzstan – Sadyr Japarov, Tajikistan – Emomali Rahmon and the host of the forum, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, are attending the CSTO Summit held in Minsk these days. Armenia not attending the summit denied. He also did not participate in the council of heads of defense ministries of CSTO countries.

Earlier, within the framework of a session of the CSTO Collective Security Council, Russian Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov said approved as the organization’s Joint Chief of Staff.
