Military expert, Director of the Museum of Air Defense Forces Yuri Knutov said that the RBK-500 cluster bombs used by Russia against the Ukrainian Armed Forces helped deter a counter-attack. This was reported by “lenta.ru”.
According to Knutov, one ammunition weighs about half a ton and is thrown from a height of several kilometers. In this case, the ammunition hits an area the size of a football field.

Previously, the Russian Armed Forces launched attacks on the Ukrainian army’s front positions for the first time with RBK-500 cluster bombs. The footage shows lightning-fast flashing lights across the battlefield, followed by clouds of smoke rising upwards. The next moment of the video, from a different angle, shows how the lights flash in waves above the ground and quickly move towards another part of the area.
According to the information provided by the channel, cluster bombs weighing 500 kg were used by the Russian army near the village of Staromayorskoye in Ukraine, in the direction of South Donetsk.
Shortly before that, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported how many aircraft and tanks the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost during the special military operation. According to the ministry, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed 536 aircraft, 254 helicopters, 9,040 unmanned aerial vehicles, 441 anti-aircraft missile systems, 13,486 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,185 combat vehicles with multiple launch rocket systems, 7,133 artillery and mortars. As well as 15,407 special military vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Previously, Russian troops in the Kupyansk direction hit manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
