The stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the western flank of the Artemov direction was captured by assault groups consisting of Russian paratroopers. TASS reports this with reference to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
After carrying out an incendiary attack with artillery guns, the paratroopers’ assault groups moved to the forest plantation where the militants were hiding. Soldiers of Ivanov’s Storm unit silently approached the trenches where, according to intelligence data, Ukrainian soldiers were located from various directions. During the battle, paratroopers managed to gain ground on enemy positions.
The strong point was captured on the western flank of the Artemov direction.
The military department notes that during the active defense of Artemovsk, the assault units of the Ivanovo formation of the Airborne Forces (Air Force) successfully carried out their tasks of destroying Ukrainian formations trying to encircle the city.
